Wireless Remote Control

remote-top-front-viewOur Wireless Remote Control (belly-pack) offers the same control configuration as the operator cab. Both the cab and the remote have a toggle switch that will send and receive signal for all of the operating functions on the cutter head. The wireless remote control allows the operator various options in accessing hazardous cutting/spraying conditions when the operator's visibility is impaired from the operator cab. More importantly, it offers a safer option for the operator to access dense canopy and overhang in and around energized power lines. While working around power lines we require all operators to use the remote control at least 40 feet away from the tuck at all times.

The operating range of the remote control is 40 to 150 feet away from the truck, providing a safer distance when operating around energized power lines. The remote control is equipped with a safety tilt kill switch. When the remote control is positioned at a 45 degree angle or more, it will automatically shut off power to the cutter head. The wireless remote also offers an emergency stop "e-stop" that will disable all operating functions. The state-of-the-art remote control battery pack can be recharged via a 110 volt converter on the truck or by using a conventional 110 volt electrical outlet and offers an operating battery life of 24 hours before recharging.
